Just one click from the spare part to the instruction manual and vice versa

Just one click to avoid incorrect orders.

If your customer needs a new spare part, he orders it online as soon as possible in your service information system. But then there is the question: "How do I install this spare part in my unit?" A time-consuming search in the various manuals starts, although he already has everything he needs, spare parts catalogue and instruction manual. Offer him a real support - a combination of both publications - an integrated solution!

This is where our solution comes in: There is a bi-directional integration between our content management system TIM-RS^® and the Catalog Creator, the spare part catalogue of TID Informatik GmbH. Both systems are coordinated so that they will deliver for each product or for each machine, a manual and a spare parts catalogue which are linked. Your customer can switch directly from the spare parts catalogue to the corresponding instruction manual to see where and how the component is installed or used.

At the same time he comes directly from the manual instruction to the spare parts catalogue just with one click to order the right part promptly and therefore, to avoid incorrect orders. There is no complex and error-prone search necessary, your customer can fully concentrate on his service activity, he saves time and money.

This integrated solution was presented to an interested audience in the SAP-Arena in Mannheim on February 24th, 2011. Following a successful start in last September the project partners SAP Consulting, Fischer Computertechnik, SDL Language Technologies and TID Informatik invited a group of selected participants for the second time to a common event "Discovering Potential - From the SAP material to documentation and spare parts catalogue" for the second time to present their overall solution which is already used in practice.

The most exciting moment experienced the participants of this event in the SAP-Arena with the famous cabaret artist Dr. Eckart von Hirschhausen and his enlightening program 'Tokens of Love'. All in all an exclusive event, that generated a great deal of interest among the participants. Thus also echoed the participant Natalie Orgeldinger, Technical Editor, Festool GmbH „both the lectures as well the evening event were first class". This was joined by Martin Alb, Manager Training & Documentation, MAQUET GmbH & Co. KG and added: "the contents as well as the program were very well coordinated. Through discussions with the participants and the organizers I could take many ideas home."
