Translate easily with TIM-EasyTrans
Inhouse-Translation vs. XML
In many cases the translation or localisation of documents is done by a foreign branch or agency. Generally, the preferred file format is Microsoft Word®. With the introduction of an XML editorial system a consistent translation process on the basis of XML must be ensured. For this purpose, FCT offers a simple translation tool. TIMEasyTrans, especially for inhouse translation.

TIM-EasyTrans enables easy and convenient translation – the entire context of a bilingual document is always displayed
Company-wide Translations with TIM-EasyTrans
Instead of an XML-Editor that incurs additional costs and is in many cases reluctantly accepted, TIM-EasyTrans enables XML-modules and documents that have been created with the editorial system TIMRS to be easily translated. The easy to use TIM-EasyTrans will remove the widespread desire to translate with the well-known and mostly directly available Microsoft Word® programme, ensuring an across site, consistent XML translation process.
Keep an Overview with the HTML Preview
The available XML-modules that have already been pretranslated in the XML editorial system are inserted into the text that has to be translated. Therefore, the user always has the entire context in a bilingual document in view. To support high quality translation, the bilingual document is displayed as an HTML preview in a separate window. The contents are marked in colour. The contents to be translated are clearly displayed in a twocolumn table. The HTML preview is of course always updated during the translation process.
XML made easy
No specific know-how is needed to use the tool for processing the structured XML files. TIM-EasyTrans takes care of XML-tags and ensures that no structural infringement will occur. With this tool the user is able to focus on translating the respective contents.
Proofreading in the Foreign-Language
Experience has shown that TIM-EasyTrans could also be used for proof-reading in the foreign language, as the editor can incorporate the necessary changes directly.
